Every three years, Vaison-la-Romaine is transformed into the capital of choral singing for the Choralies, a festival unique in Europe organized by the association À Cœur Joie. From July 30 to August 07, 2025, this giant choir open to all will thrill the entire town with music, sharing and collective joy.
À Cœur Joie :
an association that makes life sing
Founded in 1940 by César Geoffray, À Cœur Joie is a non-profit organization committed to the development of choral singing for all. Today, it federates more than 500 choirs in France and abroad, with a simple but powerful objective: to make singing a tool for bonding, personal fulfillment and fraternity.
In addition to organizing the Choralies, À Cœur Joie offers training courses and musical publications, and supports contemporary creation. The vacation village Le Moulin de César in Vaison-la-Romaine, which it owns, is emblematic of this mission: a place for vocal music lovers to meet, pass on and enjoy each other’s company.
An extraordinary choral festival
Since 1953, the Choralies have brought together thousands of choristers from all over the world for an exceptional artistic and human experience. This unique festival combines :
- Choral singing workshops for all levels
- Concerts every evening in the ancient theater, a magical setting steeped in history
- Spontaneous singing in streets, squares, cafés…
- A warm, festive and intercultural atmosphere
It’s this blend of demanding artistic standards and convivial simplicity that makes the Choralies such an unforgettable event.
Le Moulin de César: at the heart of the organization
The vacation village Le Moulin de César, owned by the association À Cœur Joie and managed by Escapade Vacances, plays an essential role during the Choralies. Located just a stone’s throw from the historic town center, it becomes the festival’s base camp for 10 days, hosting all the organizing teams, workshop leaders, musicians and volunteers.
Please note: the Moulin de César is not open to the public during the Choralies.
