The annual gathering for cycling enthusiasts
Every spring, Pâques-en-Provence brings cycling enthusiasts together in the South of France. More than just a cycle touring event, this gathering keeps alive a tradition that dates back over a century, celebrating the joy of cycling, meeting fellow riders and exploring the beautiful landscapes of Provence. And in 2027, the event is heading to Vaison-la-Romaine!

Pâques-en-Provence: A story of cycling and passion
To understand the origins of Pâques-en-Provence, we need to go back to the early days of French cycle touring and one of its most iconic figures: Paul de Vivie, better known as Vélocio.
A passionate cyclist and keen traveller, he saw cycling as a wonderful way to explore new places. In the early 20th century, his regular journeys to Provence gradually inspired gatherings of like-minded cyclists.
Over the decades, these meetings became a cherished tradition. Today, Pâques-en-Provence, held under the auspices of the French Cycling Federation (FFVélo), continues to bring together cyclists who share the same passion.
The spirit of the event remains true to the values of cycle touring: enjoying the ride, discovering new landscapes and, above all, sharing memorable moments with fellow cycling enthusiasts.
A different destination in Provence every year
One of the special features of Pâques-en-Provence is that the event regularly moves to a different destination.
It’s a wonderful opportunity to discover the many faces of Provence by bike. hilltop villages, quiet country roads, vineyards, olive groves and rolling Provençal hills… Each edition offers participants fresh scenery and new cycling routes to explore.
Spring is an especially lovely time to experience the region. The days grow longer, nature comes back to life and temperatures are generally ideal for enjoying longer rides before the summer heat arrives.
Road cycling, gravel riding or mountain biking : everyone can enjoy the event at their own pace and in their own way.

In 2027, Pâques-en-Provence heads to Vaison-la-Romaine
