Don’t miss the Roman bridge, symbol of the town, which has spanned the Ouvèze for almost 2000 years and bears the unfortunate memory of the terrible floods of 1992.

Explore the Dentelles de Montmirail or the foothills of Mont Ventoux, ideal for a sporting day out in breathtaking scenery. Vaison-la-Romaine is the central point of the GF Mont-Ventoux race, a race which takes place every year in June and which attracts a very large number of cycling enthusiasts and professionals. Lovers of relaxation will prefer a peaceful stroll in our surrounding hilltop villages like Crestet or Séguret or in the surrounding lavender fields, in full summer bloom.
Festivals and Events
The town comes alive throughout the year with various events, such as the Choralies, a choral festival organized every 3 years by the association “A Cœur Joie”, owner of the “Moulin de César”. Let’s not forget Vaison Danses in July as well as Vaison Festival which welcomes a large number of known and recognized artists each year.
And let’s not forget the traditional Corso which takes place every year on the Whitsun weekend.
